thelot Not a bad audience source for this second set considering it’s back story. Around 2006 I discovered this tape in my old bedroom closet at my childhood home on Cape Cod. I believe it once belonged to my younger brother (Chris), although he has no recollection of it. It definitely wasn’t from my collection. It was just a crappy old TDK 90, no jewel case and a label that read 2/22/91. The temperature in that closet probably reached close to 100 degrees throughout the summer, not to mention the humidity! It’s amazing this tape was salvageable at all! I reached out to Kevin Shapiro via MySpace and was told that it wasn’t in the archive! Hard to believe they weren’t recording every show at this point. I immediately got the tape off to Arty. If anyone could work magic on an old cassette tape it was him! Thank goodness he was able to salvage this one for all to enjoy! Big thanks to Arty for his tireless contribution to this community! Even though I helped get this tape into circulation this is the very first time I’ve listened to it!

Set 2 opens with a fiery little Chalk Dust. DaaM transitions seamlessly into a solid YEM with an inspired B&D and VJ section. The vocal jam develops into the second-ever known Cheeseburger Rap similar to 6/1/90. “Chris got no memory” lol A nice spunky version of Magilla follows. This version of Suzy has first time commentary from Fish “Forgotten my name? What a bitch!” lol Dramatic HYHU intro with a Let’s Go tease. Fish pulls out his bone for this version of Terrapin complete with a cool Whole Lotta Love jam like the version during Love You on Fish’s birthday at The Bayou. HYHU is played as the outro music with Mike teasing Let’s Go. Mike continues to tease Let’s Go at the start of Antelope. Trey is En Fuego during this jam! The Marco section is pretty straightforward. Pretty good set overall.
