Meatstick is one of the most terminally dumb songs in Phish's songbook, but its entire existence (give or take a 7/15/99 and 7/30/14 or two) was justified when it sneakily, almost hilariously wound its way out of the pitch-black noise of the final minute of the 8/5/11 Rock & Roll, one of Phish's finest jams.
