History

Fans consider it a treat when Mike Gordon steps to the microphone to sing a tender love song. Unfortunately, they are usually either up-tempo bluegrass ditties or lamentations about his stolen tape deck. “Love Me” gave Mike the chance to croon like The King, if only for a brief while. “Love Me” debuted in Europe on the spring 1997 tour and it was played regularly during the short stretch overseas. Upon returning home, though, the song seemed to disappear. Despite rave reviews, “Love Me” has only been played a handful of times since, the last of which occurred on 11/18/98
