History

One of John Lennon’s favorite Beatles tracks, this one was written in India when Lennon found he had great trouble getting to sleep on the nights following a full day’s meditation. For Phish’s two performances of this tune, Mike took over lead vocals, first on 10/31/94 during the band’s White Album set, and then a second time over a year later on 11/18/95.
