The Weekapaug beat popping up in the middle of an instrumental version of Amazing Grace is the sort of thing that, on paper, shouldn't work at all (and, frankly, doesn't work for a little bit in practice as well), but once the beat gets synced up we get one of the most exciting and exceptional moments of Phish's first (IMO) truly great year.
