Review by Barney_r

Barney_r This was one of my earliest Phish shows, although not my first. My memories of this show are hazy, but I remember that it was a fun and magical night. The weirdness of the show, the narration,( who tells stories in the middle of a concert?).. kung, YEM, Mikes song, Hydrogen, Golgi, and so much more. It was just so different from any other music I had ever heard. It definitely wasn't about extended jamming at this point in time, it was about these completely amazing, weird, different songs. Whether it was technically good or bad, I can't say, I just knew I liked it...ALOT! You could already see how the scene was growing and knew this was something special that was going to become very big. I do recall that that I was trippin balls! Several friends that I had not yet met(Burn One Adam!) until years later were also at this show.
