Review by dpwilljr

dpwilljr I missed the first set due to a promise to my girlfriend that I would attend the beginning of her party.
I arrived inside just as the lights went out for the second set.
I know I have much less experience that many other people on this site with only 44 shows under my belt. I didn't see my first show until 1996.
What happened during that second set was pure magic. It felt like we had all passed to Phish heaven. How could it be possible that all of my musical dreams would be answered by this, a band that I truly love with my heart and soul, within one hour of music ?
I think the main message from The Helping Friendly Book is to live in harmony with each other.
We all went through that second set together. As one.
Everyone was smiling and singing as if all war, poverty, hunger and violence on earth had just ended.
You might be rolling your eyes while reading this, but it's ok to find pure happiness and live in the moment even if it's only for a little while.
It's the reason we travel to the ends of the earth to see Phish.
We have something that most people in this world don't. The ability to open ourselves to the experience and a band that can take us to places we once imagined were only fantasy.
In all honesty, it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life so far and I will never forget it.
