waxbanks I wonder how the decision to release crown jewel shows like these gets made. 'The time was right' isn't exactly an interesting reason!

In my wildest fondest dreams, this is just a test release, a teaser, leading up to the Complete Fall '97 Box (a la the recent, wonderful Europe '72 box). Hearing 12/6/97 in rich SBD would basically top off my Phish fandom, freeing me up to become a SUPER HARDCORE BIEBER-HEAD

Alumni Releases like this are exciting and scary.

Exciting, because I've been waiting many years for this, along with I don't know how many other folks.

Scary because . . . there are basically a handful of truly AAA archive releases, and I've always thought that Phish would only start to release them when their career was winding down or over. If they follow this with a holiday 7 DVD release of the Great Went, then I guess I'll start getting ready for goodbyes.

Coconut_Phil Man, my copy is on the way, I'll be jamming for the rest of the year. Joy grabbed all the 2010 Summer Tour I did not have for 7 bucks a show on CD, that's cheaper then the mp3, got to love a band that just keep s on delivering to us Phans. Makes you wonder why powerhouse bands like KISS never recorded their shows back in the 70's, that stuff would be amazing remastered. Jam on.
