I'd give the 12/28/10 Worcester version more than a passing mention, if we're talking about things from a historical perspective. It features a very atypical, spontaneous staccato-style jam instigated by Trey, which proved so effective that it's been revisited in similar fashion a few times in 2011, in various songs, including the 5/27 Runaway Jim, and to a lesser extent the 9/4/11 Dick's Hood mentioned here as well. The band has long had a history of locking into these almost fugue-like staccato style jams as early as 1999, if not earlier (check out the 12/8/99 Ya Mar) and it often surfaced in 2003 (the 2/26/03 Moma Dance being a prime example). The 12/28/10 Hood is not only arguably the best version of the 3.0 years to-date, but also an important high-water mark of this particular jamming style.
The Great Went was the first show where they abandoned the "I feel GOOD!" ending, correct?
No. I know the 10/7/95 version doesn't.

I am so glad that the author mentioned that 7/31/03 version. I am generally not a huge fan of a lot of 2.0, but I thought at the time that the entire show was excellent from start to finish and it still holds up well to this day. It was raining like hell and the night before left a bad taste in everyone's mouth with the Secret Smile encore. This 7/31 show smoked and redeemed. The whole first set was inspired and I truly recall going places during the Hood. In fact, I listed back recently to this Hood and found out again how great it is. In an era of hit or miss, this show should be sought out.
