Trey's (albeit casual) critique of postmodern cultural capitalism during the 'Colonel Forbin's Ascent' narration on 07/03/11, with more junk being made than available storage spaces to contain it, was really great to hear live. It was my first narration, and as someone who is deeply interested in political theory it was a real treat to hear.
When it comes to 8/14/97, I sometimes feel as if people focus on the wrong parts of the Forbins. Some people complain about the grounding of the Mockingbird, others gripe about the lengthy antics of the Merry Pranksters.
This guy? This guy just goes "Holy crap did anybody notice how amazing the 9 minute jam out of the end of Hood into the beginning of Forbins is?!"
I'd give a toe for Forbins to always be preceded by intro jams along these lines. Strange days.
