Trey sang the verses of Fee through a megaphone. Adeline and Carolina were performed without microphones. Antelope contained a Simpsons signal. Trey added "King of Prussia" to Lizards before later stopped the song after forgetting the lyrics.  He took advantage of the break to welcome his grandfather and explain to him that they don’t usually mess up like that.  Upon restarting the song, Trey realized that he still didn’t remember the second verse, so he stopped the song again and asked the audience for help.  During the second break, he explained the Big Ball Jam to the crowd and claimed that he didn’t really forget the words to Lizards, he just wanted to explain the Big Balls. Fish was introduced before Rosie as “Henrietta, Eyeball Man.” Before Hood, Trey noted: “Hope everyone has a nice day tomorrow. Don’t feed any turkey to your dog.”

phishatmsg First show - Don't remember anything but that I pretty much didn't know any song but Fee, YEM, and Chalkdust. Had friends who had seen Phish and raved about it begging me to go, since we always had a blast on GD tour as young teens Phish seemed a bit more my speed. This show was in Glenside just a mere 4 miles from my house. Started it all - hooked on site. I was no stranger to great music but still a stranger to Phish and didn't want to be anymore.
Then we had Turkey

Review by CForbin

CForbin I first fell for Antelope in the summer of '92. Although we had only seen each other a few times, we went all the way that night @ the Keswick.
We weren't getting many monster shows back then, as the boys grew into their shoes - but we were treated to some high energy music from a future powerhouse band in development. 20+ years later and I still vividly recall the scene that evening, home from college & scoring tix with some friends to see Phish @ a quaint 1,300 seat venue - settled in for an evening to enjoy. Fantastic acoustics filled the early 20th Century theatre.
As we settled into our seats a few rows from the stage, the boys opened with a Burried Alive that came out hot. My first time hearing this song, and it impressed. Fun little Poor Heart followed by a lost classic, The Landlady. 3 quick openers followed by a nice little megaphoned Fee - did Page tease the theme from Taxi or was it just me? Hit a few from the new CD, "Rift" w/ Maze, Sparkle & It's Ice - all three were full of energy. This Maze is particularly good, and Trey was clearly enjoying himself as he adds a "thank you" to the audience @ the finish. Always love a Coil, Page is a beautiful man. Cavern was hard rock, but take care of your shoes either way. Fast fwding to the Antelope, and although I don't like to kiss and tell (wait, yes I do), it was so full of electricity - Trey wailing & jamming through the climax, which they didn't exactly nail but was beyond solid none the less.
Set 2 included a strong Chalkdust opener - Trey loves to play Chalkdust in the Philadelphia area, close to home I guess?
Can't go wrong w/ YEM, not perfect but trampolines, classic early 90's. One of my favorites, Lizzards, still good even interrupted (I remember yelling the lyrics up to the stage, along w/ a dozen + others, but hey we were sitting near Trey's gramps so that was cool.
Got some new cymbals - the other ones... were destroyed. Cracklin Rose was a highlight. Thanks eyeball man.
So in summary... Secret Language, Trampolines, Harry (no "Hood"), TV theme teases & a Twee/prise. Just me and 1,000 other hippies witnessing the birth of a supergroup. Give this show a B+ and appreciate it for the early 90's gem that it was.
Thanks Phish!

Review by DollarBill

DollarBill Sixth show of Fall Tour, right before Thanksgiving. Too bad this one's more like the last show. Even after a day off they don't sound any fresher. It seems as though the "gremlins" have worked their way into the monitor system again making lots of feedback through out the show. The recording I heard at first was a chopped up version with Adeline missing, and the end of Foam, and the Lizards debacle. So I found the original source elswhere with all the warts to fill in my listening. Very boomy on the original recording.

Ok, we start off with a good Buried Alive and Poor Heart to get settled in. Not bad besides the feedback. Then we have another opener song with the Landlady and more feedback. Not settled in yet? Mike wrecks Fee right out of the gate coming in early. It was ok. Then Trey keeps on his harmonics going into Maze making this intro awkward too. Again, just ok for this one. Page rocks as usual. Sparkle is normal. It's Ice has timing problems throwing Page off vocally in the second verse. The whole thing was a little rough. Coil was a little redemption song tonight after that Ice. Page is great as usual. Cavern is pretty good. Sounds like Trey is teasing Metallica or something. They stop and throw in the Adeline, with much shushing, before the last note. Antelope sounds extra groovy tonight. Good jam but this one has a weak climax for my taste. Nice closer for an ok set.

Well I wish I could say that it got better but, not really. Monitor feedback stayed here and there. Chalk Dust was a solid opener until the very end got blown. Foam was pretty good. FEFY was nice as this one gets better every time. Trey blows the intro to YEM making it somewhat awkward all the way through. The vocal jam was good and included sounds like "Don't sit on my jacket!" and ended very pirate like from Fishman. Lizards' second verse was completely forgotten by Trey making everyone laugh. After a shout out to Grandpa and a Big Ball explanation they finish it in style like nothing happened right? Tweezer is a pretty good jam leading right into the HYHU jam. Fish explains that he got new cymbols while Page and Mike go over the music to Rosie. My Sweet One was fine. No problems. Tweeprise was pretty normal. Sub-par set.

Hood had some weak spots like before the Mr. Minor part but, was otherwise ok. Sounds like Trey was teasing Demolition Man by The Police. For some reason the crowd likes to tease Carolina, so again, we have another one tonight bringing the show to a close.

Just not locked in tonight. Bad beginings and endings on songs and forgotten lyrics make this a really below average show. Not to be too harsh but, they are better than this.

Phluffhead The Antelope from this show is absolutely sick! So much tension and release throughout the entire song. Trey also cues 'The Simpsons' during the end jam of Antelope.
