•	12/19/02 "Late Show with David Letterman" / Ed Sullivan Theater - New York, New York Set: All of These Dreams
•	12/14/02 "Saturday Night Live" / Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center - New York, New York Set: Contact*, 46 Days, You Enjoy Myself#, Chalkdust Torture Notes: This "performance" was Phish's first appearance on the NBC television show Saturday Night Live (although Trey sit on the show during Kid Rock's May 20, 2000 appearance). The episode's guest host, former Vice President Al Gore, introduced both actual song performances ("46 Days" and "Chalkdust"). The show ended with Al Gore, his wife Tipper, the members of Phish, and the SNL cast gathering to wave and wish everyone a Happy Holidays as the SNL band played. Jon Fishman had his baby daughter with him. Trey put his arm around Tipper and chatted with her, even pointing out his mom in the audience. *Phish appeared in this night's rendition of the ongoing "Jarrett's Room" skit, having supposedly run over one of Jarrett's friends and thereby promising to hang out and play music with them. This same friend, as it turns out, has confused Trey Anastasio with Chuck Norris of Walker, Texas Ranger fame. Al Gore also appeared in the skit as one of these college students' professors. All four members of Phish joined in to play a snippet of the song "Contact" in the dorm room. #In an extended Peanuts cartoon-skit, the writers (principally, Robert Smigel) parodied the ability of Charlie Brown and his friends to transform and enliven anything (e.g., a dumpy Christmas tree) by just "waving their arms around a lot." Phish appeared as the "transformed" version of Schroeder and his friends, who had been playing music themselves. Two bits were played, one from the melodic beginning of the song and another from the WATSIYEM segment, as the Peanuts characters danced around.
•	12/12/02 Studio 8H in Rockefeller Center - New York, New York Set: 46 Days, Chalkdust Torture Notes: This rehearsal took place in preparation for Phish's appearance on the next episode of Saturday Night Live (see December 14). Both tunes were played twice, with some vocal rehearsal and jamming on "46 Days" between the two takes of that song. The members of Phish also rehearsed for a number of skits, including some with former Vice President Al Gore, who will host the show. The band reportedly plays a bit of "Contact" in one skit.
•	12/1/01 Swissotel - Boston, Massachusetts Set: Wolfman's Brother > Boogie On Reggae Woman, Loving Cup Notes: Phish spontaneously took the stage around 1:30am at the private wedding of Jason Colton (of their management company, Dionysian Productions) and Lisa Narodick. "Loving Cup" was a request from the bride. The actual wedding band was an outfit called Brave Combo, a polka-rock band from Texas -- Phish used their equipment when they played. This unexpected, brief reunion "ended" a 420-day break since their last performance on October 7, 2000. Officially, Phish continues their hiatus of indeterminate length. Recent Special Appearances
•	12/6/02 - Fish with Jazz Mandolin Project Jon Fishman joined Jazz Mandolin Project (a group with which he occasionally tours as drummer) for the encore of their show at Higher Ground in Winooski, Vermont. Fish and JMP played a rendition of Black Sabbath's "War Pigs."
•	12/5/02 - Page with Cyro Baptista and Beat the Donkey Page McConnell joined Cyro Baptista and his group Beat the Donkey during the second set of their show at Higher Ground in Winooski, Vermont. Trey Anastasio's bandmates Dave Grippo and Jennifer Hartswick also sat in. Jon Fishman was spotted in the audience. (Thanks to AJ Fucile for the info!)
•	12/4/02 - Mike Gordon with Leftover Salmon Mike Gordon took the stage with Leftover Salmon at Higher Ground in Winooski, Vermont. Gordon emerged for "Rivers Rising," which segued into a bass duel with Leftover's Greg Garrison. Mike remained for Bill Monroe's "Rocky Road Blues" and the Rolling Stones' "Let It Bleed," while Garrison departed. (Info/text courtesy Jambands.com)
•	11/21/02 - Page McConnell with Logic/Wasserman Page appeared with DJ Logic and Rob Wasserman at the last date of their joint mini-tour, at Higher Ground in Winooski, Vermont. Dave Grippo and James Harvey also sat in, during a set which was comprised of improvised instrumental jazz-fusion. (Thanks to many fans for the emails.)
•	10/22/02 - Trey Anastasio (and other members of his Band) with Spearhead Trey joined Spearhead on-stage at Higher Ground in Winooski, Vermont. Trey and Jen (from Trey's Band) played one song in the second set, and Jen also returned during the encore. Peter Apfelbaum, also from Trey's Band, played earlier in the show. •	10/21/02 - Mike Gordon with Pork Tornado Mike joined Pork Tornado, the side project of Jon Fishman,at First Avenue in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mike sat in on bass guitar for one song in the second set.
•	10/2/02 - Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon at Jammys, Trey at moe. Aftershow Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon were major presences at this year's Jammys ceremony at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City. Phish won the "Archival Album" Jammy, and Trey took home the Jammys for "Tour of the Year" and "Studio Album of the Year." The evening was rife with jams. It all conluded with a marathon version of "Lovelight," with countless musicians collaborating on both stages at the Roseland. RatDog was joined on the main stage by guitarist Trey Anastasio (Phish), Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule, Allman Brothers Band), Al Schnier (moe.), harmonica player John Popper (Blues Traveler), drummer Matt Abts (Gov't Mule) and DJ Logic. Meanwhile, the second stage was inhabited by bassist Mike Gordon (Phish), guitarist Fuzz (Deep Banana Blackout), steel pedal guitarist Robert Randolph, saxophonists Skerik (Critters Buggin', Les Claypool's Frog Brigade), Hope Clayburn (Deep Banana Blackout), Jessica Lurie (Living Daylights), Tom Tom Club vocalists Mystic Bowie and Victoria Clamp and "Flute Girl." A lengthy jam ensued between both stages, with musicians egging each other on from across the room (there was also a brief segue in and out of "Gloria"). Earlier in the show, during Gov't Mule's set, the Allman Brothers Band emerged, joining guitarist Warren Haynes for "Desdemona." Anastasio and John Scofield then performed on "Sco-Mule." Next, ABB guitarist Derek Trucks returned and Trey remained for "Soulshine." Other notable collaborations included Blue Oyster Cult and moe. on "Don't Fear the Reaper" and B-52's and Particle on "Love Shack." Mike Gordon also performed a set in his new duo arrangement with guitarist Leo Kottke. The festivities continued with a late-night performance by moe. at the official Jammys after party at B.B. King Blues Bar & Grill in New York City. Trey Anastasio joined the group around 3 a.m. for "Happy Hour Hero" -> "Recreational Chemistry," which also featured keyboardist Steve Molitz (Particle). Guitarist Warren Haynes (Gov't Mule, Allman Brothers Band) and keyboardist Nate Wilson (Percy Hill) then took the stage for "Opium," which included a "Norwegian Wood" tease, and "Bodhisattva."
•	9/21/02 - Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon at Rising Low Screening A special screening of Mike Gordon's new film "Rising Low" was held at the Allaire Studios in Shokan, New York. A sprawling jam session ensued throughout the informal, yet celebrity-filled event. Mike performed with members of Big Apple'achia and Jay & Molly. Later, Matt Abts, Dave Schools, Fuzz, DJ Logic, Rob Marscher, and John Bethel jammed. The evening peaked when Trey Anastasio and Mike Gordon came out to play a 40-minute set, along with Matt Abts, Fuzz, DJ Logic, and Rob Marscher. The set reportedly included the Who's "Sparks." •	9/20/02 - Trey Anastasio with Cyro Baptista's Beat the Donkey Trey joined Cyro and his ensemble at Higher Ground in Winooski, Vermont. Cyro is a member of Trey's 'solo' touring outfit. Pictures are available online.
•	9/7/02 - Mike Gordon with Max Creek Mike emerged in the second set for Season of the Witch -> You're The Only One, Free Born Man, Love Makes You Lose Your Mind and Windows, which closed the set. He then returned for the two-song encore, Angel From Montgomery and Just A Rose, with Mountain of Venus' Tanya Shylock adding vocals to the former. Other guests that night included Tom Constanten, Greg Vasso, Kris Kehr, Glen Nelson, Reverend Tor, and Greg DeGuglielmo. (On January 25, 1997 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, DeGuglielmo, Mike Gordon, Max Creek Guitarist Scott Murawski and Gordon Stone performed a one-off show as The Drop Caps.) SOURCE: Jambands.com.
•	8/30/02 - Jon Fishman with moe. Fish sat in with moe. on Friday at their "moe.down" festival in Turin, New York. Fish played drums on the opener, "Meat." (Please note that this is not the Phish song "Meat," but rather a moe. original with the same name.) Fish was at the festival to serve as drummer for the Jazz Mandolin Project. •	8/24/02 - Page McConnell with Spookie Daly Pride Page performed with Spookie Daly Pride on August 24 at The Chicken Box in Nantucket. McConnell took the stage midway through the set for a couple of songs, including "Andrew Jones." It was the band's final show of a three-night run at The Chicken Box. (SOURCE: jambands.com)
