heels I was 24, and seeing a ton of shows at that time. My buddy was an intern at WNEW, and nobody wanted the station's passes, so he took me! They had an incredible barbecue buffet and an open bar. With very few actual fans there, we got to walk up and take the front table. The Page side was already the rage side. We sat there smoking and drinking Rolling Rocks. After a short while, the band strolled on stage to little fanfare. Mike had a hilarious wig on for Golgi. My hangover from the monster show in Port Chester lifted, and I was ready to dance. Not a soul was dancing!

It was a great show. I loved reading this on Phish.com: "During Sweet Adeline (performed without microphones), the band left the stage and jumped onto some Elektra/Radio executives' dinner table in the middle of room to perform the song." Um, that was our table! I was a perpetually stoned messenger in Manhattan- hardly an exec! My oddest memory of them singing on our table was how bad they smelled! Worst BO ever! We drank beers with the band after. They seemed very awkward to me. I had never hung with nerds much. I kid because I love... Pretty wasted, I left to go over to the upper east side to party at Ski Bar. All in all a great night!

DollarBill This would be cool to hear. I wonder if anyone in the crew recorded it?
