The beginning of the show, as well as the Antelope jam, contained We're Off to See the Wizard teases. Mike’s Song was preceded by an Auld Lang Syne tease and subsequently contained a Stairway to Heaven tease. Weekapaug contained multiple mentions of Paul Languedoc in the form of "Roots!" My Sweet One contained Oom Pa Pa, Me And My Arrow, Simpsons, Random Note, and Aw Fuck! signals and featured the band squawking at Page. Fish referenced a fan's T-shirt during Hood and quoted Marvin the Martian. Page teased I Can't Turn You Loose in Love You. After Love You, Fish continued to play the Bag-Vac during Cold As Ice. Memories and Sweet Adeline were performed without microphones.

DollarBill A little shakey again tonight, just like the last show. Not sure if there were sound problems? It took a while for the bootleg to balance out too. A rare Maze solo on the piano instead of organ. Sloppy ending.

A sloppy Hydrogen and Horse>Silent, which is still not settling in yet. My Sweet One intro is great! The rest of the second set is pretty tight. The T-shirt seems to have been of Marvin the Martian, checkout Fish's "very angry indeed" quote.

Everybody shush for the double barbershop encore!

Review by Miguelito

Miguelito This show is loaded with energy, especially in the first set, and to my ears it’s somewhat underrated. I will admit a little bias towards this time period as I caught my first show just 13 days prior to this one, and then saw a couple of others later that May. And while there were numerous better shows this tour, this one still has some things that are worth checking out.

Llama is one of my favorite classic openers and this one doesn’t disappoint. It’s a rager and sets the tone, leading into a great Reba. This is a fantastic 1-2 opening sequence. An upbeat Paul & Silas leads into The Sloth, a song I always love catching. Page does some nice organ work on this one. The band seems fired up. Divided Sky follows, and they play this one with the same high-energy and intensity as the songs preceding it. Once again, Page’s playing is noteworthy here. Guelah and Maze are more high-energy playing by the band and, at this point, this set is pretty stacked. Antelope is the perfect, fiery closer to the set, containing some a We’re Off to See the Wizard tease that is well-placed and leads to a nice peak.

The Mike’s Groove to open the second set was solid. There are some fun vocal antics during Weekapaug but overall it seemed that the there was a slight dip in energy after set break. Also, intentional or not, the band’s segue into Hydrogen and then Weekapaug was unusual and interesting. MSO is notable for the numerous signals contained within. The Gin D&M Magilla Hood run in the middle of the set is a nice sequence. Although the Gin is pretty short, it’s welcome here. Both D&M and Magilla are tunes that have been basically shelved but both were fairly common back in those days. Still, they’re both really nice to hear and are really well played. Next we get a respectable, solid Hood. The show ends with an entertaining Love You and Golgi, followed by a pair of a capella tunes for the encore.

This is a fun, solid show. I liked the first set more than the second but overall this comes across as a show that’s a bit underrated.

Most phans' knowledge of the Spring 1992 Phish tour consists of Portsmouth tour openers, Providence, and Binghamton shows in March, then the West Coast run in Mid-April, and the Schenectady show on Page's Birthday that was officially released. However, there's plenty of enlightening and entertaining shows from this tour. 3/27 is a fun, light-hearted show, a nice tonic to help ease any discomfort from heavier shows with darker vibes. The “We're Off To See The Wizard” teases remind me of the Wizard of Oz teases that showed up at 8/25/23 SPAC. There's another cool piano solo from Page in Maze, fun teases in Antelope, Mike's Song, and Weekapaug, one of the craziest My Sweet One's ever (featured on the FTA), and I can easily visualize Fishman's face during the "Marvin the Martian" t-shirt banter in the Hood intro. The circulating AUD is remarkably clear and includes fades out and in at the tape flips, instead of jarring cuts. This show is definitely worth a spin!

GiveMeSlack91 (Note: Apologies for no paragraph breaks. Can't figure it out....)
I haven't listened to my cassette tape of this show in over two decades, but giving Set 2 a final spin as I write!

This was my second show ever seeing Phish, and it was significant in so many ways. It was the only Phish club show I saw, and the crowd was small and into every last note played. I had to take a break from going to shows, due to being on probation (long story short, hello 1990s drug war), so this was my first show after a hell year. I was dead sober, too afraid to even drink one beer and drive. That said, I had so much fun, standing right in front of Mike laughing and dancing the whole night. It felt great to be back in a room full of freaks and geeks.

With all of the above in the mix, I had/have little complaints about this show. My 2nd Gen audience tape still captures the permagrin I had that night. Not sure why, but the band decided to point at me during the Men and My Arrow / Asshole in the Front Row. Maybe it was because they kept making me laugh? Standing in front of Mike the whole show, with his glass of wine and a roll of Sparkle paper towels on his stack.... the strange "Roots" they kept saying during Weekapaug. And being so happy to be back out in this mix, listening to live music? I guess I deserved to be the asshole in the front row, lol.

One thing that I instantly fell in love with about Phish during my first show in 1991, beyond their amazing playing, was their willingness to just let it all hang out and be so funny. They surely did this tonight with set 2. My Sweet One, Bathtub Gin, Dinner and a Movie, Harry Hood, Love You (What? The drummer also plays his Eelectrolux into a bagpipe?!!!) and Golgi are all songs that still make me laugh. This being my second show, I had quickly appreciated the fact that this band gets irony and psychedelic weirdness. 22-year-old me dug this the most that night.

At one point, before the encore (?), included in this Set 2 cassette, Mike appeared on stage with the green room meat and cheese spread and handed it out to the crowd. Did this really happen, or is my memory surely distorted by the fog of time?! Well, it also added to the merryment and silliness of the night.

Speaking of the encore, I had never been in a bar club listening to a band in utter silence. It used to be extremely difficult to get away from the frat boys drinking beers at club shows, but this crowd STF up for the off mic encore.

In 1992, Phish had that much control over their audience. And this 13x13 show gave me a deep experience as to why that was so. Here I am over 30 years later, still smiling and enjoying that night.
