As a musician, Sydney Ellis was a late bloomer. She began her career on a session stage in Los Angeles in 1991, a day after her 44th birthday. She continues to record and tour primarily in Europe, both solo and with her Yes Mama Band. Material includes songs culled from her own releases, as well as covers of blues, classic jazz and folk staples. Sydney joined Phish in Germany on 2/25/97 for three songs, lending vocals to “One Meatball,” “Little Red Rooster,” and “Got My Mojo workin’.”
