Sarah McLachlan
Full Name: Sarah McLachlan
Rare are the times when Phish has the chance to collaborate with artists with large mainstream appeal and chart-topping singles. Sarah McLachlan must rank in the pantheon of those guests. She happened to be at the benefits for Neil Young’s Bridge School when Phish performed in 1998. Sarah added an additional acoustic guitar and vocals to three Phish debuts: “Four Strong Winds,” “I Shall Be Released” and “Sad Lisa.” Of course, McLachlan was one of the organizers of the Lilith Fair tour, which did for women’s musical acts what the H.O.R.D.E. tour did for jambands.
