Frequently Asked Questions which are sent to the Webmaster

Please read this list before sending email to the webmaster!

I want to print a page from the site, but it's not printing right because of the black background and white text. What should I do?: You can control your browser! If you have Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer, you can set the options to make the default background color anything you want. For printing I'd recommend black text on a white background, but anything you want is possible. Each browser version has a different way of doing it -- please contact your local technical support if you need help figuring that part out.
Can you sign me up for the Döniac Schvice via email?: Nope! We phish.netters are regular fans just like you. We don't have any contact with the phish organization. If you read the FAQ you can learn how to sign up.
Can you link to my own Phish web site?: Maybe! We like to include links to sites which contain original material. If your Phish page is just a list of links to other sites, it's not really providing a new resource to fans. If, however, your site has its own Phish content, we'd be happy to link to it. Please note that the webmaster usually surfs with the web browser lynx, which is a text-only browser. Validated HTML is important! Also, we're a little behind in linking to fan sites, so please bear with us.
Do you have lyrics or chords to (INSERT SONG NAME HERE)?: Everything we have is in the Lyrics and Chords area of the Archives section. We're not hiding anything from you. If it's not there, we don't have it.
Please subscribe me to the Phish Digest, the phish-info list.: The regular Phish digest is no longer in existance. Please read rec.music.phish instead. For the other mailing lists, please read in the Discussion section for subscription information. The webmaster can't do it for you.
When I try to access the rec.music.phish link, I get an error. Why?: To make use of the news feature of your web browser, you'll need to configure your browser to connect to your local news server. If you don't know how to do this, please contact technical support at your site -- we don't have the information here to help you.; There is a song error in the HPB, or there is a show missing. Please fix it.; The Helping Phriendly Book is maintained by Dan Hantman. Please contact him directly at dan@netspace.org.
Why is the pictures and graphics section still under construction?: It's still being worked on. The Phish.Net web site is ALWAYS under construction, and we've chosen to focus more on getting information out quickly, and then work on the additional parts. Rest assured that the graphics section is not forgotten!
Why can't I find (INSERT SECTION HERE)?: The Phish.Net web site is currently undergoing a bit of a redesign, with the hope of making the site easier to navigate, and to cut down on the number of sections which read as being Under Construction. We apologize for the incovenience.
