On second look, it does appear that Trey is well dressed for the interview, note sweater over flannel shirt.

Agreed. They could've spent the entire 1.5 show on Trey and the band... and it still wouldn't have even scratched the surface. Good to see Trey feeling great and happy!

A nearly 8 minute segment and the majority is spent rehashing biographical information and Phish background that a viewer could obtain elsewhere. They didn't even ask the most obvious question: "What was it about this story (Hands on a Hardbody) that interested you and made you want to write a musical adaptation?"

The journalist in me would have liked to have seen them take a better angle with the questioning, i.e. "How does writing for a musical differ than writing for a four-piece rock band"

Anyway, nice to see some positive publicity for his effort at least.

I watched the interview but haven't had time to comment.....I would have liked to see the whole thing go down without Trey being pinned down on the arrest/drug court piece, but I think Trey handled it well by keeping his answers simple, true, and consistent...

CBS Sunday Morning would be a bad venue to focus more time on phish history details....I watch the program on a regular basis and it would have been out of character for the show, as well as boring to the millions of viewers who don't get IT....starting out in a college basement band and finding your way to Broadway...now that is something that grabs the attention of the average CBS Sunday Morning crowd.

His focus is on writing new material and trying new things at this point.....maybe a full rock opera starring the band will be next?

What is that great song that CBS used as the segment fades out? It's from a live set, with electric guitar and beginnings of piano vamp. Anyone? Anyone?
