12/22/03 - A Holiday Gift: LivePhish.com Proceeds to Mockingbird!
Exactly one year after launching LivePhish.Com, Phish has announced that as of January 1, 2004, the band will donate their net proceeds from the service to the Mockingbird Foundation, a non-profit organization founded and run by Phish fans that supports music education for children. The LivePhish.com service offers high-quality, unedited soundboard recordings of select Phish concerts in MP3 and CD-quality FLAC files via a state-of-the-art delivery system. All shows are available to fans with 48 hours after the end of each show. Proceeds from LivePhish.com's revenues are expected to dramatically increase the number of organizations that the Mockingbird Foundation is able to fund.

Guitarist Trey Anastasio said of the announcement: "Playing live music has always been a source of indescribable joy for me, and every day I count my blessings that I'm able to make my living doing something that I so deeply love. It's exciting then to think that a person can come to a Phish concert, and know that all the profits from the subsequent downloads of our music will go directly into children's music programs. The fact that the Mockingbird Foundation was created by Phish fans makes it all the more inspirational to us." (Read coverage in Billboard Magazine.)

11/25/03 - A Letter from the folks at Loring
The Loring Development Authority, host to Phish's several festivals in Maine, has sent a letter to Phish fans.

3/8/03 - Support Phish.Net - become a Netspacer!
The Phish.Net website and services are run entirely by volunteer fans, and reside electronically on the non-profit Netspace.org servers. Online Phish fans actually created Netspace back in 1994 to have a home on the net. Now the Phish.Net/Netspace team needs your continued support to keep the data flowing! (For example, we served more than 1.5 million requests for the setlist of Phish's hiatus-breaking show on New Year's Eve -- service like that costs a lot of money!) Learn how you can help out!
