I second this opinion. Mike's Song earned a lot of "wins" in 1995. The 12/31/95 Mike's must've lost in an upset in the conference championship.

Also, Piper came on strong at the end of '00, but didn't make it to the Bowl, while in '09 DWD was probably a early favorite that faded down the stretch. I suppose sometimes it's about "peaking" at the right time ;)
