How
quickly did Phish become national
And why don't they play near me (anymore)
- Maps: Maps show the annual aggregate number of shows
by state. The final map shows aggregates for the 17-year period.
- Key: Darker shading indicates more shows, in ranges which
vary (eg 0-1, 2-3, etc.). White does not mean no shows,
since 0 is included in the first range (e.g. 0-1, 0-2, et al.)
- Data: Based on the 944 shows from ZZYZX's
Phish
Stats page as of late 1999, which is some 500 shows short
of the Mockingbird
collection, mostly in the earlier (1983-1990)
years.
- Control: Hit <ESC> to stop, reload to start again.

Please email
any suggested changes; this is new and clearly needs some improvements.
Thanks to David Steinberg, Mike Rowe, Eric Janus, Andrew Gadiel,
Noah Cole, Steve Biederman, and Steve Cunningham for the corrections
and suggestions already given! :)
"This
has been the story since we started.
We keep playing bigger places,
and we're like invisible. We're working
straight along, getting bigger every tour.
And it's like we're not even in the game."
